It's such a strange label design, I keep thinking this is a 7" record and not a 12"!Of course they designed it pre-internet, but every time I see this label online I almost skip past it thinking it's only an edit.

IWAS

Kinda dated sounding. I don't think that this record is worth hundreds of dollars imo. I find many italo disco records from 1983 and back down in yeats sound very dated.

Both Blackway records will be repressed by AFM. Their recent re-pressing of Decadance's On & On got terrible reviews of discogs …what do the Blackway represses sound like? (I bought a mint OG of 'On & On' in LA's Amoeba last year for $100 … which I still think of as a 'bargain'!)Also are these pressings bootlegs? Remastered from vinyl/original tapes? Any info appreciated as they still cost $30+ to buy and ship to USA.

This was a hugely influential record when it came out, and is experiencing a new lease on life probably largely due to the attention drawn to it due to Casco's re-release of it on The Cyber Album, as well as Blackway featuring prominently in some of Panama Racing's record releases. Very creative use of not-very-exceptional electronics and equipment for the period - fairly obvious that this music was strung together on a tight budget, nevertheless, the end product is astounding in scope and quality. It covers such a range of musical sound, yet remains cohesive. Right from the A side of New Life, it strikes a dark tone closes with an even darker note of a simulated nuclear explosion with Follow Me on the B side. I really couldn't give this a more glowing review. Everything you could want in a record: pedigree, rarity, and it just makes you feel good.

Music from another world. A world wich lacks the common 'rules' of making music. 'Follow me' is such genuine piece of music. The guys of Blackway has their own vision of electronic 'Italo Disco music' It's dark, it's catchy in its own way and there is nothing, really nothin you can compare to this tune. This guys creates their own genre.
