Sonder contains solid TesseracT songs undoubtedly. Due to it's relatively short runtime compared to TesseracTs former albums it feels more like a long EP though. Stylistically I'd describe it as the darker brother of Polaris. If you intend to buy it, DO NOT buy this LP if you actually intend to listen to the music though! I don't know if it's just my LP or if this is a general problem but the music sounds incredibly noisy and low-quality compared to the digital version of the album. I own other TesseracT albums and other Kscope albums on vinyl and none of them have this problem.I'm really not an audiophile but this LP sounds as if the album was played through a radio that is not on the right frequency with a constant hum and noise and very distorted vocals and instruments in the louder parts. It does not sound like that at all in the digital version, so I can just assume that either the pressing is very cheap or the "vinyl mix" is just terrible.
I'll try and record some snippets of my record to illustrate the problem. Luckily it's so obvious that even a bit of silence would already be enough. Will post again as soon as I have a recording.
I have the white version and I didn't notice any noise or muffled sound. But on the track "Smile", some bass effects of the track sound weird at three different times.Other than that, the quality of the pressing sounds really good on my LP. Maybe the problem is related to the different structure of picture discs, which are often quieter than standard vinyl editions due to the lesser deep of the grooves.
I assume that it's a problem featured in this vinyl edition, because on my crystal clear one the audio quality seems to be better (not better as the digital one, obviously)
