The music is stunning, of course, however there is a LOT of surface noise on my copy, particularly between tracks.

Arawak is one of a multitude of pseudonyms that Luciano Simoncini used in his career as a composer for film scores and background music for radio and television in Italy. Luciano Simoncini was an italian pianist, arranger and conductor (born in Piedimonte Matese, province of Caserta, September 25th , 1939, died in Rome November 8th , 2011). Originally released in 1970 on Simoncini’s own “Squirrel records” this album managed to stay under the radar until Hip Hop performer Quasimoto (alter ego of producer Madlib) sampled “Accade a Harlem” for the “Suono libero” series on 70’s Jazz funk from Italian library music. Since then, the album slowly but steadily progressed to its well deserved cult status. This release is fully licensed and comes with liner notes by Luciano Simoncini’s family friend Claudio Casalini and Golden Pavilion producer and record collector Antonio Barreiros.  The laid-back grooves and enticing dreamy atmospheres alternate with more funky sounds to make a truly unique music experience that will appeal to fans of Janko Nilovic, Stefano Torossi, Remigio Ducros, Pino Canizzo.

Hi,Actually Madlib used Accadde A Bali in his first Quasimoto album on the track "Real Eyes". He made not big change on it. It was a sort of plagiat in fact because he just rap on the song. He didn't credited Simoncini on the record unfortunatly for the original composer.

It has come to my attention (thx for the hint, Cardiel) that this rerelease should - besides the obi - also should have come with an insert by Claudio Casalini with liner notes and unrealeased Simoncini family pictures, as according to the "attic" homepage.I have not received this insert, can anyone confirm, has anyone gotten it?

I would hereby like to get help from anyone having this rerelease in their posession willing to confirm a digital audio artifact.In track A2 - Accadde A Cuzco, at the end of the frist refrain playthrough (rougly a minute in), there is a clearly hearable, very short digital audio artifact sounding like someone stepped on a cable or smth.I just want to find out whether this is my copy only. For as I can't believe that, because it is not due to any mush being on the vinyl, it's totally clean and new and it just sounds like something that sadly made its way into this rerelease master.I would be grateful if anywone could confirm that, I am also willing to make a short audio snippet for you ppl to hear to see what I am talking about if that is needed.cheers.

Honestly, this issue is not a '180 Gr' vinyl version (my copy has ca 150 gr.)(Curious, if somebody got the mentioned 180 gr versions, at all.)Music is dope, of course.
