Now then... The track called Found An Angel is the corker here. It is related to two other Discogs releases (and I'm pretty sure they're all the same mash-up): 207367, 789653. They all feature the PVD E-Werk Club Mix of Paul Van Dyk's - For An Angel. It has been edited heavily and has an interesting intro with nice rising synths, the kick drops away the synths build up, when the main early phrase from For An Angel kicks in, along with the "lover" vocal. The song then plays out similarly to the original; but with the full Lover vocals nicely interpolated, really adding to the euphoria. One of the only downfalls is the ending, it isn't very DJ friendly. It has a very wierd phasing or delay effect, or both, on the kick and can make mixing very messy. The other is that that pitch/ tempo of the record seems to undulate at various points throughout. This dodgy production seems to be common with bootlegs, eg the ending and beginning of Lizard Without Scales, I guess that's why they're named 'bootlegs'. The original PVD track was legendary to begin with. Many would say that it is quite cheesy and typical of 'crasher trance, but I disagree. Mainly because this bootleg was getting nailed by Ben Hudson @ Karanga, The Pavillion, Bath. This was when I first got into clubbing and trance, this track along with other classic bootlegs like Prodigy vs. Dino Lenny - Voodoo Cocaine and Camisra vs. Mauro Picotto - Lizard Without Scales were getting repeated plays at the monthly night, I assume/hope many others also heard it.
