LilBi Hello,Do you know where it has been pressed, please ? It's written "Europe" but where exactly ?Thank you I checked the run-out and found the '>' symbol. This confirms that it was pressed at the CBS Pressing Plant, Aston Clinton in Bucks, UK. They used this plant from 1964 to 1980.

Ok, I was wrong – there are two Embassy pressings. One has the full Bowie mix of Search and Destroy and the other has the US version (the thin mix).

@BBarrosI listened to my sample of the Embassy against the US release. There is a subtle difference in the mastering but the mix of Search and Destroy on the Embassy is the same as the US release. I refer to that as the Iggy mix, but I don't think any one knows for sure where it came from. It's the thin sounding one with no bass. The rest of the Embassy album is the standard Bowie mix.

The only question is whether it has original UK version of Search and Destroy, or the US version. I'll have to investigate to make sure I answer correctly. I only have the first issue but might have a vinyl rip of the Embassy to check.

mr.datsun The Embassy re-issue came out in 1977 in the UK. Yes, this appears to be the issue with the light red to white gradient label. I had this once and I remember that it was a re-issue. If I'm not wrong, it even had the 1977 (?, can't remember the date exactly) written on the label. Somebody who has it should review/correct the release page.
