I picked up a copy of this LP in the dollar bin without knowing anything about it. It is on Liberty Records; so I thought I'd take a chance. The album surprised and pleased me with its nice light jazz sound. The tunes familiar to me like "On A Clear Day (You Can See Forever)," "The Shadow Of Your Smile," "When The Lights Are Low," "Misty," and "As Time Goes By" get a warm reading with Edison's trumpet replete with emotional color. "Jive At Five" and "Summer Samba (So Nice)" jumped out of the speakers. The liner notes address Edison's credits. This was a used LP I had to scrub to make it shine; and it turned out to be a sweet jazz gem.
