Velellan
A lush and focused Brad album. "Arrakis" is one of the best tunes in their catalogue.
Urreur
This is already the third album of the band which initially began as a side project of guitarist Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam, Mother Love Bone, Green River) and drummer Regan Hagar. The two found a singer of format in Shawn Smith, that his activities in Brad managed to combine with his own group Satchel. Thanks to the strong lead vocals by Brad Smith grew out into a fully-fledged band, where the more melodic and soft side of the group members could manifest. The penchant for the mainstream rock from the seventies (Queen, Kiss) and Prince, which Smith there on after, made sure that the songs of the Group generally quite melodic and accessible. The background that the individual members have in strong grunge bands is only in details of to hear back. Although the tenor of the plate is understated, sounds the band cannot slap or uninspired.
