The unedited version of track #5 "Anything She Does" runs about 11 seconds longer on the 2007 US Remastered Edition CD than the edited version that appeared on the original 1986 US release. The additional music can be heard near the end of the song, from approximately 3:59-4:10, and is responsible for the increase in the track length to 4:21, up from the original 1986 running time of 4:09. Both versions share the same outro in the closing 9 seconds or so of the song.

It's got nothing to do with editing vs. non-editing. Not every single sound present during the recording sessions is heard on any edition of most songs/albums. Often the instruments themselves are filtered during the recording process, and different takes of different songs will be mixed together. It's a matter of context. This album was meant to be heard on 5.1 surround sound systems. The original stereo mix was meant to be heard in stereo. I have no idea why they insist on using these surround remixes for all of the subsequent re-issues. They very well could reissue these on blu ray and that would make sense. But for a basic 2 channel CD, the remix is not an improvement over the original. It's not sharply inferior, but I do prefer the original and I have no reason to make do with this. END TIRADE/ Anyway, since they did choose to remix this and the other Genesis albums, there was probably a lot of unused material in the vault that the band or Hugh Padgham (co-producer & engineer) didn't feel suited the stereo mix, at least not at the time anyway. Just like "Invisible Touch" was originally written for inclusion "The Domino Suite", "The Domino Suite" probably needed refining as it was being recorded. I doubt the song was recorded all in one take by the members all in the same room.
