My local, 'bricks and mortar' record store - £17.99. My un-local online record store - £7.50 + shipping. Basic market rule is that customers quite often gravitate to the cheapest outlet for their goods. In this context, how is Record Store Day going to help sustain physical record stores?

I know I'm years late on this, but I totally agree - it was the same price in my local shops. Finally bought it in a sale at £10, which still seems silly money for a 2-track single.This was also an early example of the much-loved RSD tax, which has settled into a pattern; one year's RSD prices become next year's standard. The year Elbow did the 'McGreggor' single it was £5 everywhere, which seemed a bit steep at the time, but then all 7"s were suddenly £5. Now £8 is standard, again following on from RSD prices.
