I have heard both versions of how this & Rave Generator came about but as far as I am concerned everything about this & Rave Generator sounds very Frank De Wulf and not so much Damon Wild and Ray Love.

'R U Moony' is pure bassline bliss and great production to boot. It's one of the greatest (if not the greatest) lost tracks from the early 90's echoing the ambience of Detroit and the deep Mr Fingers 4am vibes of your best night out .....ever. Absolutely a classic. No idea what the spoken vocal line is but its mesmerising. Why R&S licenced 'Pure Pleasure' is beyond me as 'R U Moony' needs to be heard by anyone with a passing interest in all things 'deep'. 'Dream Party' is very of the time but has some excellent production and drum loops. One of the better Italo-rave influenced cuts. It was never off Kiss FM at the time. So essentially if you remember Clink Street, Michiko Koshino and Boys Own magazine this cut will throw you right back into 1991....with a smile

Early rave EP from Frank De Wulf. Pure Pleasure is very poor... pap proggy Belgian Techno that goes nowhere, Dream Party is slightly better but goes downhill when the cheesy operatic vocals come in! But wait...this EP has a real gem on it!! R U Moony is a deep house classic that hardly anyone picked up on. The track centres around an acidic bass line with futuristic jazzy keys giving it a raw warehouse feel, imagine an early Mr Fingers track with attitude and you’re there!!

A good example of the kind of New Beat rave sound that Joey Beltram was enthusiastic about at the time as he later disclosed a UK music magazine interview. This Boccaccio type of tune was one of these. Not really my cup of tea, it was indeed a rave signal !
