Notes

The promo was incorrectly entitled 'Dub Raid'. A nub being the discarded end of smoked joint (ta, Neil).
This was the first S4G release to come in generic black die-cut sleeve, as opposed to the earlier stickered company pic sleeves with spine.

Hey there,The title was always intended to be, and should officially be recognised as "Nub Raid"... along with the track "Bong Tang" and "Ten Fag Mix" on this EP, they're references to heavy smoking sessions in Beeston, Forest Fields and other choice spots in Nottingham from this time period.. happy times!Cheers,NAIL x

I've got the released 12 and as far as I can remember it sounds fine. The promo and proper release will normally be cut from the same stampers. Unless of course the promos were noticed as being too quiet and re-cut. I'll give it a spin if I come across it and let you know.

Hi, does anyone know if the official release has better sound qaulity than the promo?? I Own a promo copy but it does'nt really bang, by that i mean i'ts clear but not very loud, someone else i know has the same problem with their promo copy too. Would just like to know as i cherish this record as one of my favourites so if need be i'll bag myself an official copy.Thanks Jake :)

Aha! it all becomes clear. 'Nub' as in 'dog-end'. Who-ever typeset those stickers on the promos is the culprit!

Great record. One of my pride and joys...remember hearing these tracks on Smokescreens rig many times back in the day...deep in a forest or a quarry :)
