Sealed, mint pressing sounds terrible. My guess is that age was not kind to this record. It left the plant without an inner sleeve so the grooves were in contact with acidic card stock for decades, probably causing damage. Barring that it sounds like it is covered in sand: It is in stereo and Monteux's conducting is both traditional and beautiful. It doesn't sound too heavy, as seems to have come into fashion around 1960. I may look for another pressing of this in non-mint condition. It has the possibility to be a real gem of a recording.
