Now with the soundtrack I think the recordings are absolutely amazing. I do think it is very interesting how most critics diss the soundtrack for not containing live tracks when the musical had yet to air when the soundtrack was released and it should've been obvious that it would contain nothing but studio recordings so beggars cannot be choosers. I think I understand why the soundtrack was released early. I think NBC wanted no doubt in anyone's mind that the cast could do this just as well as previous versions of this musical. And they did the right thing. The vocals are amazing and they do great. Be sure to pick up your copy. Walmart stores and Walmart.com also included a bonus disc consisting of nine instrumentals for anyone who has ever had the desire to sing these classic songs. I give the soundtrack five out of five stars.
