This is an incredible (and beautiful) album. Even though all these tracks are from very different times, (21 years span) you could pretty much think they were produced during Monad label period. They could also be "Love, Peace & Trance" or "Naga" outtakes… I'm so happy this album contains the soundtrack from the Dentsu produced Omnimax short-movie "Only the earth" (tracks 8 to 11) whose music i had been looking for, since i saw the movie in 1990. It also contains two tracks from a Fuji television documentary about the sinking of the Titanic (tracks 15 & 16). Hosono's own grandfather (Hosono Masafune) died in the shipwreck…

no actually he survived the Titanic and decades later Hosono's sister apologised for his allegedly cowardly behaviour. I don't believe he was a coward but it was frowned upon in Japanese society that he survived when women and children perished.
