Cyber Steve + Acid Ted's This Shitty Mix is one hell of a funky ass driving slice of vintage acid techno, completed with hip hop samples going "I cold rock a party!", "and it's all good!" and "and if you understood!" from MC Lyte's hip hop super hit Cold Rock A Party, or that's how I remembered it, as layers of tight 303s slowly await their turn under the surface. The pace is not too fast, but everything is orchestrated just perfectly. The samples keep you on the edge of your seet until the upthrusting acid leads elevate the track to new climax drive heights around the three minute mark. In my opinion, this is top drawer party material. Driving, bass heavy techno percussion goes hand in hand with loose and funky acid madness so typical London-ey, all of which is given that "extra" touch through the effective appliance of samples, which will have the crowd chanting along by the end of the night. I love it!
