Light out of Fildon

I love this album, I love how varied it is. Every song has a different feel to it BUT I have just got the Japanese version and it shits allover the British release, every different version of tracks that are on the Japanese version are a lot better. Seriously check it out, you'll not be disappointed.

Steelraven

Find the Japanese version. Completely different, meatier beats and all around one of the best Orb albums. US release is rather bland (or poppier, if that's your thing).

Not a full blown Orb classic for me I'm afraid. there are too many tracks that are generally heavy on the beats and derivative in style, and I'm not too keen on some of the vocal contributions. However there is enough sonic class on here that I was still persuaded to pick up a nice clean vinyl second-hand copy. Fehlmann's "Gee Strings" is a lush slice of smooth dub-techno influence that works really well for me as a post Sun Electric moment. Tower Twenty Three is a great dub rub that stands alongside the recent Orbservatory works rather well, and the whole of side 4 is an ambient treat in the early Orb mould. The Land of Green Ginger charms in a light-hearted way. A big improvement over the disappointingly bland and poppy Cydonia,
