@def-complex. I was just saying to my friend the same thing. It was the first time I ever heard funk drummer, I immediately went out and found a 7" of the break only to find it wasn't on the 7", ha!!

I believe this is the first record to use funky drummer, was certainly the first time I remember hearing funky drummer, be nice to know if anyone else can confirm this! I'm pretty sure "It's my Beat" or "It's a Demo" was second!

'The State Were In' was released in the first half of 1986, I have recordings from the radio when it was played around April / May of 1986. It's A Demo and Its My Beat were not released until at least Nov / Dec of 1986, again I have these records recorded from the radio when they were newly released.
