This 1983 retro release is the full album mix of 3:54 where the original Global MGM 1974 release was the edited for USA radio 3:23 mix!Only 31 seconds you might say! However>>>>>>>>>In those 31 seconds of the instrumental break you get Mr B at the Steinway and a double swirl of the real strings it's a major integral part and part of the whole session and recording that Bristol wanted.Why on Earth did MGM A&R bow to USA Radio and cut this musical bridge. all for a 30 sec add it's shameful and what I call radio track circumcision!Thank god some intelligent people at Polygram when at the planning releasing meeting did the research made sure the correct paper work and tapes of the Album track were lifted and the 31 seconds restored to a 7" single release!So Yes keep ur legendary and revered MGM 7" Edit as a reminder to take out and look at BUT this has to be the version that everyone needs and has to own.
