The first time I heard Loops Haunt was in May of 2009 whilst my friend was looking for new names to book for a club night. I was blown away when I heard 'Huarache' for the first time. It stood out, unlike anything I'd ever heard before. I was delighted to get my hands on these tracks on wax.The two songs on this 7", prove his extensive knowledge and understanding of both sampling and complex editing, amongst many other things. I can only imagine he spends a Lot of time editing each sample beyond perfection, and with clear precision. At no time, does his music sound over processed. 'Impact Omnihammer' is a hard-hitting, amazingly produced tune. The vocal, drum and other random samples used all compliment eachother perfectly. Bassy and funky throughout. 'Joplin' is probably my favourite Loops haunt song so far. Beautifully composed, edited and mixed. I'll be looking after this 7". Might even buy another one just in case :)
