I distinctly remember the wacky Nicky Blackmarket himself (AKA Nick OD) and a couple of other Pulse 90.6FM deejays giving 'Spam' a few spins from as early as very late November/early December on their pirate radio shows. My mate had recordings of the shows on cassette as early if not earlier than what I suggested above. One of the mixes was different to the full releases available on discogs. Definitely wasn't the remix. So was circulating for a while before its release date. I just happened to remember first hearing it then as I specifically remember being chucked out of Camden Palace in North London along with a couple of mates, because my cousin's GF decided to smoke a big phat one right in front of Ruth the head bouncer (and her friend an undercover cop) after we were already warned for sharing a toke. Funny how they let her stay and get it on with her EX whilst the boys were thrown out ... Weird. Eventually got to a mate's flat after attempting to start the car for about two hours, rewinding this tune and laughing like maniacs to the Monty Python intro and dancing around to pirate radio. Good times.

Best track on here for me is Jazzy Hardcore. Wicked breaks, nice synth stabs, cheeky vocal samples, rolling bassline and a gorgeous semi-dark breakdown. And still one of my favourite breakbeat hardcore tracks after all these years.

Worth buying for 'Have You Got Anymore Spam?' alone. Classic piano hardcore, but with enough different ideas in it to distinguish itself from a lot of tunes from the same era.
