Sounds awfull, especially side C with a lot of background noises. The mastering and the pressing are very bad. If you really want this music, take a digital edition...

Watch out buying this edition. There's a horrible cheap EDM remix at the end of the cd. This ruins the whole atmosphere that was actually created by the original piece on the cd. Seriously. If you fall asleep to this, prepare for a rude awakening. Thinking about getting rid of this edition and buy the normal version.

So am I right in thinking that the first two sides of this are just the Four Seasons by Vivaldi ? and the other is re-mix/composed material using the origional Four Seasons ? If this is so then why ? Surely there are enough pressings of The Four Seasons out there already, right ?

A late reply but:A/B are the recomposed versions by RichterC is a collection of ambient interpretations.D are remixes of the recomposed stuff... which are actually not that good.

Don´t think is the case. They are the new Richter versions of the original Vivaldi´s (but I don´t own the record so 96% certain only).

My Copy has C&D Labels on both records. The recomposed recording will be still timeless in 30 years same with the electronic soundscapes on Side C, the remixe go in the bin next year ...

Wanna know how good this record is? Let's put it that way: I am a die hard Techno fan, yet this is by far the most amazing, timeless, and perfect release in all of my collection.

I'm not even halfway through the disc, but I'm already amazed at such consistency and mastering. It's been so long I hadn't listened to something this innovative and rightfully done, it's a new continent, a new path, a glimpse of the future ahead of contemporary hesitating and most of the time imperfect habits of remixing, revisiting, featuring and such. Seems like the right receipt has finally been found!

One of the, if not the, single most flawlessly written, technically brilliant, beautiful and respectful of its source material, modern re-imaginings of any classical piece ever made. A monumental achievement and one of the best collections of "classical music," or any music, ever recorded.
