Personally, I don't get the whole Jan and Dean thing. If you got Sinatra, you don't need Tony Bennett. If you've got Brian Wilson's Beach Boys, why trifle with Jan and Dean? I realize they are a serious part of the history of surf music, but with the exception of "Dead Man's Curve" and maybe "Little Old Lady From Pasadena", I don't have much use for these guys. Their version of "Little Deuce Coupe" is pretty much the Beach Boys' version without the Beach Boys. Maybe it's a California thing.

I feel like you are very undereducated in music. Good luck friend!

If not for their influence,Keith Moon might have sounded completely different,he was J&D's biggest fan.

No it's not a California thing. You are obviously very illiterate on your music knowledge, and taste. Jan & Dean were the greatest rock duo the world has ever had. In their short span, specifically 63-66 they were on top the heap. Some of the most memorable singles of the 60s and rockNroll in general, and 4 of their albums (Drag City, Deadman's Curve/New Girl in School, Little Old Lady from Pasadena and Ride the Wild Surf) are all AWESOME! Maybe you should a listen buck-o!
