In 2007, Shinkoyo released a limited edition art object/CDR edition of Sam Hillmer's (AKA Diamond Terrifier, Zs) first collection of solo tenor saxophone music, under the name Regattas. The album, Garudas, was recorded at a handful of spaces and venues across New York City, and mixed and mastered by Shinkoyo's Matt Mehlan in the basement of the original Silent Barn. We're very excited to make these recordings widely available for the first time, with a limited edition cassette for the TRUE HEADS.released June 30, 2017
Sam Hillmer (AKA Diamond Terrifier, Regattas) is a one man wrecking crew of community conscience and deep music. He’s part of the legendary New York Noise-Jazz-Punk collective Zs. He performs as The Oracle DJs. He spreads positive messages and hip-hop knowledge with his crew Representing NYC. He’s taking Saxophone (and music) into places we did not know possible. Diamond Terrifier is his solo project.
