Night Slam. What a remix. The sound of Back to Basics basement in Leeds circa 1994. Very very good record that still sounds brilliant in my opinion, especially when the striking hi-hats kick in. The ignored sibling of Positive Education and every bit as good if not better in my opinion. Unbelievable that this sells for 99pence. Do yourself a favour and invest in a classic.

One of my favourite Slam remixes (night mix). The way it builds from an almost Sueno Latino like beginning into tech house ass shaker into a blow your head off Techno monster. Slam doing what they do best here! I first heard this played by McMillan in the Arches in Glasgow when he was finishing off a night when Rob Leiner played live and it blew my head off. 13/14 years later I still remember the moment like it was yesterday. Crying out for some remixes and a rerelease!
