This album is made to put a smile on your face and to put some groove into your day. A great mixture of funk/house/techno with a 'pony' twist. If you like an original and uplifting listen and you like a good groove then check this underated LP out.

I hope that Sony will re-issue this on vinyl! Great Album!!!

International Pony is something of a German funk-supergroup that love to reference themselves in song, whether the slow burn of "Pony the Funk" or the wiggly groove of "International Pony Theme." "Superyou" and "A New Bassline for José" go into some good-humored robo-electro, and "Les Parapluies De Saint Georg" has a mellow 4/4 house thump to it. The UK Edit of "Leaving Home" gets slightly more aggressive with the vocodered vocals, but the warmth of the original is there at the start to keep you sane. They add appealing interludes, like the beatless ambiance of "The Bubble" or Japanese pop of "Hello!" and veer into pure R&B with "Blow My Mind" and ambient R&B with "Why Why Why." The odd rock-hybrid of "My Mouth (Phony The Punk)" is an puzzling misstep, however. But the track that blows minds is "Hangin' Around '02" -- it's just such a joyous song, an updating of the '95 classic. Take this pony for a ride!
