"THE TRUE TOWNLEY TRACKS consists of 120 minutes/two completely-filled C60 audio cassettes recorded from January through Summer, 1982. The material is, alternatively, my NARRATION and my secretly-taped PHONE CONVERSATIONS with almost all the Major Players in the Coverup, including, but not limited to Authors JOHN DINGES, SAUL LANDAU and DONALD FREED, Publisher LAWRENCE HILL and Former Book Editor/Later CBS-TV News Executive JONATHAN COLEMAN as well as TOWNLEY'S FELLOW VIETNAM-WAR SNIPER MICK GREEN!"

An unknown number of copies were produced by the artist using recycled cassettes from 1982 to the late 1990s.
