MEGA FREEDY
The album is an artistic masterpiece, and I have always loved Marc Almond, having almost all his records dating back to Soft Cell. My criticism is of the vinyl limited edition: It is a lovely package but the mastering (and possibly mixing) is terrible. (And no to the other reviewer, mine does not have the skip on Track B2). Overall the sound is excessively bassy, lacks in high frequency detail and there's no sense of space...glassy, one-dimensional and soulless. Like listening through a pillow. Perhaps they used Youtube uploads as source material? Marc deserves to sound even half as good as Mother Fist, Stories of Johnny, Stars We Are, The Mambas...and so on, but it doesn't. So disappointing. Why is it so difficult to get decent analog mastering these days? Surely someone out there has figured this out by now.

My copy has a nasty skip on track B-2, there is clearly visible "blank" groove which causes that.I'm wondering if it's just my copy is bad or all 500 copies were pressed from defective matrix?Does anyone has the same issue?
