I have this Cdn version with the original artwork cover. It features a brunette bent forward,wearing a corset. Her wrists & feet tied together with film reel tape with a metal film reel at her feet.

I've just realized my copy of Remember is the album not the single & the album is not listed here so I will put it up shortly.

I REMEMBER (Pun intended) buying the album at Vinyl Mania in NYC. Now I must have the 12 inch version. Truly a masterpiece!

It should be noted that the timing on the label is wrong for the A-side. It's the same 4:53 version as on the Atlantic US release.

The only way to get the original full length 6:34 LP version of Remember is on this Canadian 12" and on the US Atlantic commercial-only 12" of Remember b/w Dream On that you had to buy in record stores because it was not distributed through record pools. Atlantic did not designate sides on this commercial US 12" with a letter or a number. Personally, I do not ever recall seeing this 12" in any of the top record stores in NY City during the 1980s. This is unusual because Atlantic promoted the Face To Face LP through record pools, as well as the promo 12" of a shorter remixed version of Remember that did not have the distinctive intro found on the LP version and bore only a slight resemblance to the full length LP version. Most top NY City DJs played the 6:34 LP version. Not much of a production run on the US Atlantic commercial 12" of Remember b/w Dream On.

Those who love this track should really seek this 12 out as it easily sounds the best and most dynamic of all the single releases and LP appearences. The remix starts out with more of an electro tip and the effects are echoed out a bit in a dub style but it's still somewhat similar to the original. Vocals are much more pronounced in the mix on both versions than its original appearence on "Face To Face."

The only reason the vocals and musical elements sound more pronounced on the 12" vs. the LP is because 12" pressings sound better than LP pressings because of the disco mastering and the deeper and wider grooves that can handle and reproduce more sound quality and volume than an LP.

'Remember' is Gino Soccio's finest and most futuristic moment, and there are many. This one is an amazing proto-techno disco number with absolutely incredible synth pad coming at the chorus while a distant girl voice is talking over Gino's perfect discopop singing, bringing the dancer into robot heaven. 'Remember' was released in 1982, but the drum-machine programming is so phat and compressed that it puts to shame most of the retrofuturist 'electroclash' records produced after 2000. Think the club mix of Visage's 'Fade To Grey', think 'Spacer Woman' by Charlie...well 'Remember' delivers the same kind of robotdisco emotion, only PHATTER.
