Binar
I couldn't find any details of remastering on the records, booklet or boxset, are you sure it's remastered? Or is it the remastered editions of the two studio lp's made some years ago (2006)? Nothing is written, and it seems to sound like the old original versions.
Vaua
It seems only a technical remastering just to set different tracks on a same level. Just need to check if the previous remasters by Robin Guthrie in 2005-6 were more effective.
Cordalas
On the last page of the CD box booklet it clearly states “remastered by Alex Gordon at Abbey Road”.Press for the release also stated it was remastered at Abbey Road “under Robin Guthrie’s supervision” or some such nonsense.Remastered... and poorly so.
Gold Crown
A missed opportunity. The channels are reversed on Four-Calendar Café and the remastering is overly bright throughout.
Mr.Death
were all these BBC session tracks on the BBC live album?
greed style
Need-Fire was not forgotten... explanation was given inside the box.
Malahelm
Yes.They forgot Need-Fire. Also the channels are screwed up on Four. This is probably nice for the casual fine, but I don't trust today's mastering. Especially when nothing unique is presented.
