Andreas Söderström is an artist I stumbled across whilst shopping at Piccadilly Records in Manchester. What a find this album is, great to play at home and really nice early evening bar music. As the reviewer below said it's raw and I'd also add beautifull with more than a nod to John Fahey and his american primitive school of guitar playing . Escape From NY is a cover of the John Carpenter track which when I play it out always gets people asking who's this? ASS (not a very Google friendly name) stands for 'Andreas Söderström Solo'. His 7" single 'It's in the Gallery' is worth checking out as are his other LP's and his work with Taken By Trees on the East of Eden album. A proper talent.
