The intro to Mother Earth is from the 1984 movie Where the Green Ants Dream.

Armand Van Helden has created his legendary name through this album. Starts off with the long but interesting "Mother Earth". It goes on into "The Boogie Monster" which I'm not a big fan of, to be honest. Then comes the interlude "Business As Usual" which is basically a bunch of phone calls from other famous producers. Again interesting. After that comes one of the top tracks of the album, "Psychic Bounty Killaz". The DJ Sneak-Van Helden collaboration really rocked! "Rock Da Spot" was okay, and "U Don't Know Me" is a funky house classic."Alienz" is another great fast paced track for whenever you wanna get the heat on the dance floor. To cool it down comes the chilled out "Summertime". "Necessary Evil" is kinda weird but again a great floor filler. "Entra Mi Casa" gets boring after a while, and is quite dirty. To finish it all, comes the best song from the album, "Flowerz". Tune is repetitive but you just cannot hate it! Brilliant album.

You're so right. I was a dumbass 15-year-old back then thinking I could review an album. Normally I would delete such cringe-inducing stuff, but I'll keep it up as a reminder for the great times I had discovering '90s house music. What I wouldn't give to discover all of it again for the first time.

Armand van Helden's legendary name was created in 94' with huge hits like'The Witch Doktor' & 'Old School Junkies'. By '96 he was on fire with 'The Funk phenomena' & a never ending string of incredible remixes. For those of us who were there, this late 1999 album actually saw a slight fall from grace (bar Roland Clark on Flowerz', of course) from the quality of previous years. For me, having lived through the entirety of Armand's output, this is not quite the pinnacle shining moment...
