Please note any information found online implying that this uses the same cut as the Music Matters 45rpm release is FALSE.Though they do both have KPG@CA in the runout, I noticed on the Hoffman boards there was some discussion about the matrix info being totally different between the original Music Matters 45 and this one. Sometimes the info on the plates can be added to or even altered, but I figured I’d message Kevin Gray and get to the bottom of the mystery. Here’s his confirmation that these are different. “Ok. First off it was cut twice. The new one is not the same cutting as Music Matters. I'm unfortunately not at liberty to discuss sources used, but I think you get the idea...” That says it all. Shame, as this does look nice. The amber vinyl is pretty and all, but I’m sticking to the Music Matters pressing!

It's fine, nowhere near a Music Matters pressing in any respect though. I don't think the poster was insinuating that KG made an inferior cut. If you read the response he posted he is suggesting the provenance of the source tapes is not the same. MM first gen master tapes, this one is anyones guess. Its not bad, just not great.

Shame? This version is amazing as well. It might have been cut on 2 separate occasions but I doubt they, Kevin Gray especially, would try to make an inferior cut. I haven't heard the MM version but I'm sure the differences are subtle, but even then, as long as this is on sale for $32 (including the shipping!) it's a no-brainer as to which version to get!

The vinyl pressing quality is fantastic. Gorgeous color, great sound, quiet as well. Only thing I would've liked is to have a gatefold cover. The sleeve is a bit flimsy.
Dalarin
Great sounding and great visually. Flat and quiet record. Recommended.

My record had some like sticky shit on the last side of the second record.

Thanks! That’s what I figured. Really appreciate the clarification. Cheers!

Anybody who has this pressing, is this Mono or Stereo? It doesn't specify on the album itself, but it definitely sounds like a Mono pressing to me. Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

This isn’t true. Would be nice! But not the case. The amber vinyl is pretty and all, but I’m sticking to the Music Matters pressing!
