I have the Cop Car splatter. Side A sounds awesome. Side B sounds like it was mastered too loud. It blares the loud parts of the tracks. Anyone else have this issue?

I love this score. It is iconic and instantly recognizable and was hugely popular back in 1984, so why on Earth did it take so long for the score get its own album? The Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack got an immediate release, but Harold Faltermeyer's music overshadows the majority of the songs.The reason may be that the actual score as featured in the movie is full of hard edits and raw cuts, completely inappropriate for an album release. I'm grateful to finally have this, but the album edit of many of these tracks are better than the movie edits. My favorite track from the score is "The Discovery" But it barely edges over a minute on the album. There are a few alternate cues, but there is a displeasing electronic texture to some of the fades.Since there is no download code I ripped the entire album to digital, along with a rip of the 1984 soundtrack album, and arranged them all in chronological order with slightly better edits where I could. The score does deserve more than a 3/5 rating but the bland vinyl presentation, vanilla packaging, and the fact that a few tracks from the CD album are missing force the rating down. There is a choice of vinyl coloring, I ended up with the cute "banana swirl" design.No doubt Enjoy the Ride Records will eventually release the score to Beverly Hills Cop 2, though I hope the edits and presentation is a little better than this.

I have the 2018 vinyl and it has a lot of tape hiss from the vinyl on it, which i would have thought they would have removed by doing the remaster. Is the CD from 2016 the same?
