Wow - Kevin "Master Reese" Saunderson with another LIVE mix. His skills on the turntables and mixer are beyond doubt and the bass drum never stops. The flow is fine and the tracks keep coming from deep+lovely to progressive + experimental to hard + funky. KMS starts with lovely housy Tracks (i ljust ove Blaze - "Gloria Muse" mixed into Derrick May's "R-World Grooves"-the first highlight of the set). The passage from track 8 (a Reese Project feat. Paul Randolph track) to 13 (Mark Almaria) is totally unexpected from a Detroit Master. Sometimes even reminding of Progressive House at it's best, before Kevin pushes gears to maximum pressure with hard tribal beats from UK's Techno Don's Mark Broom, Ben Sims, Bryan Zentz, Uk Gold. Jeff Mills ends the set with his awesome "March" . I was disappointed with this mix frst. I even sold the CD , but kept a copy on CD-R. This afternoon i listened to it over a PA and i began to really apreciate it. This is a LIVE mix and great for parties. Excellent CD and completely different from KS01.

At first, I was kinda cool to this mix and wasn't all that impressed with it's flow. But after listening to it a couple more times, I've grown to like it a helluva lot more. This mix features a more versatile track selection with vocal house, and funky beats building to a more banging, tribal flavour that Kevin likes to do. All in all, another well done, and might I add, LIVE mix by Master Reese!

One of the true heavy-hitters of the Techno world, Kevin “Master Reese” Saunderson has been at the forefront of the scene since its inception. While production (with Juan Atkins, Derrick May and later Inner City with Paris Grey) has been his hallmark, Sanderson is also a well-respected DJ. On this mix (his second for Trust the DJ), he takes things on a more percussive path, starting off with tribal monsters by Antoine Clamaran and Jesse Garcia, before lifting anchor and really blasting off. Newer tracks from Deetron and Pedro Delgardo mingle with established monsters from Bryan Zentz and Renato Cohen, in this flowing set. Although the mixing could be smoother in places, it is refreshing to hear a proper “live” mix, without all the computer assistance and correction. A worthy picture of the world of techno, circa 2003.
