I just received mine last month and during "Captain", it always skips at a certain part. Anyone else have this issue?

Anyone have experience to share on sound quality? Wondering if they mastered this release for vinyl.

Thanks for this tip! I just checked my copy of Zion and it looks like it's the Australian version. It sounds awful. I'll have to keep an eye out for the American version.

I have Zion and The White Album and the quality is awful. Both albums have a lot of noise.

Not as good as Zion SQ-wise, I'm afraid. Zion was cut at Welcome to 1979 & is cut quit low. Fortunately my copy is very silent.I've been through 2 copies of Empires. I have wood glued it, but to no avail: it has a lot surface noise. My guess is that the main digital copy is used for the LP. I see on the Hillsong website that Aftermath is seeing a reissue on vinyl. Hopefully it is done better (available over here)

Gaua

I have one copy of the Australian version of Zion, and one of the American version. The American release is far superior and I would recommend this one. Too much surface noise on the Australian press and it just didn't sound as "alive". I bought my American version through Amazon here in the states. Also it might not be of concern, but the vinyl edition of Zion does have a deletion of one song from the standard CD release and has a new song added at the end.

Early Waffle

Cool. I'll have to grab a copy. By chance have you heard their Zion LP too? I'm trying to gather comments on that record's sound too before I buy it. Really dug these last two albums from United. If they keep up this level, I think that they could eventually begin to influence the secular alternative, and indie scenes.

The Sphinx of Driz

Sounds very good to me. Just some slightly surface noise for a few seconds here and there, but not enough to detract from the listening experience. As far as mastering goes, I read through the liner notes/cover and I couldn't find anything specific to vinyl mastering.
