Merluche Ideale is a Masterpiece. There is no other word to describe it.

Composed by René ter Horst (DJ Zki) & Gaston Steenkist (Dobre), the same duo of Jark Prongo, 'Merluche Idéale' is the translation for a perfect catch of the an European marine fish (Belone vulgaris) also called gar and sea pike. Their skills to combinate melodic bases and elegant grooves made them well-known on a great number of clubs around the World. Marvellously tasty, this classic has a crossing of different synths melodies and the textures that creates a special atmosphere on the dancefloor. Even Master Kevin Reese Saunderson did not forget to include it on his X-Mix, as well as another one of them: 'Spadet'.

"Merlouche Ideale"(Pssst) is one of the most beuatiful tracks I have ever heard. It has a very simple rhythm that chugs along with a round, soft kick & a great shuffling highs. The key element though, is the absolutely infectous synth hook. A four or five note, repeating melody that is so simple, yet so right. A few other minor elements build tension as the song progresses & then drops out, only to bring the hook back in. Fantastic record that seems very hard to find. Everytime I hear it, it washes away all my worries. Reminds me of a warm, sunny day in the park.
