All in all its pretty nice. The sleeve artwork and the discs are typical Mondo quality. But I must admit most records pressed these days are like razor blades on the edges. No care or little quality in finishing off the trimming. Besides from this its a record Im glad to own. Just take care when placing them back in the inners and back into the gatefold. The pressing and the sound quality is better than average. Although the music is more passages of atmospheric orchestration you can almost feel the movie scenes as you hear each of the segments pass. And yes, I will admit to holding the sleeve aloft at the end of side b ending too soon, yelling "you damn dirty ape!!!"

Am I the only one that doesn't have a sticker on their copy?
Malahelm
No I haven't. I printed out my invoice to prove I actually bought the Event Edition.
hardy
Me too. Have you opened your copy yet? With POTA I have bought Prometheus (black vinyl) and there is a green (or turquoise) sticker. I hope that this is really black vinyl not screwed up colored version... On black Aliens there was no sticker.
Onath
Only 3 left in Mondo inventory at the moment...grab this event version while you can!
Gralinda
This release by Mondo is a must for POTA fans!!!

Is the Varese the best version of the soundtrack? or the original LP track listing? I know there are couple versions of the soundtrack out there but can't remember which one was the complete. I'm not a fan of Mondo. It's all greed and they try to sell by forcing limited editions. Artwork is terrible also. Most modern day vinyl isn't worth it. Only vinyl from the 60s, 70s or even 80s releases are worth the money.
Magis
Not really. It's sourced from the 1997 Varèse Sarabande ‎– VSD 5848 including the Fox fanfare. Meaning, you're buying a CD on wax! - And noisy split colored vinyl too? Easy pass for me.

Been so long since I have seen it, but I love Jerry Goldsmith so I picked it up. Gives me reason to go back and watch it.
