I would add only one thing to Spork's comment (the rest would be insulting): I'm not even sure you carefully listened to Adult. ... Adult. is working on an efficient minimalistic formula, questionning the melody in its popular effect on people. Adult. is working on dancefloor effect and this means melodic mediums and most of the time, no bass at all. Miller's in 1978 did not give a fuck to those art school's poseurs considerations, he just wanted to release this harsh repetitive no wave track telling bout carcrash erotic. Listen carefully on W.L: it's speedy, maybe 150 bpm or more, unmelodic, just the same loop sometimes slightly filtered, the rhythm is martial as ever, and the lyrics are hardcore (spin it in a party, you will see how the reaction can be different from Adult.'s LoveSick, ie). How can you pretend it's a weak track when Grace Jones made a cover of it?! This had been the 1978 underground planetary hit, spinned in Paris' Palace, NYC's CBGB, or London's Marquee... This track is to undaground what Blue Monday was to overground. And it's obvious that Blue Monday had the possibility to become an international hit in 1981 because W.L existed 3 years ago. So please don't make this kind of stupid comments when you're not documented... It's a real chance you people did not use the electroclash term to describe this electronic music masterpiece ;-) ...
