damn this record is so good and it is never showing up! beautiful track, great for a special quiet moment to break things up

Very nice 7inch, A-side is a cover of the Replacements' 1985 "Swingin Party" that would have replaced the original's charming erratic booze vibe by a more chemical atmosphere, both hazy and euphoric, sounding like Arthur Russell on both mdma and codeine jamming in a bed of cool vintage arpeggiator and slo-mo disco beatbox. As deliquescent as this might sound, the result is strangely uplifting and can work in an actual party. B-side is a 1"40 indie-white funk number that seems to mock but is in fact close to laidback genius. A record made of "cool" and "loose" in the primary sense of the words.
