could this be already sold out? 5000 copies are a lot but Im surprised to see that they aren't appearing so much and the few I see are being sold for 100 $
Renthadral
Can anyone who has both the ROG and MOV releases comment on audio quality comparison?
Tto
Finally got my copy of this beautiful re-release. I think someone in the comments pointed out that Port Of Sound were selling copies at the original asking price, and even though shipping cost me a bunch, it was well worth it.Had both album versions on cd back when they were originally released and somehow I never grew tired of TON. Granted, not something I'll be listening to every day, but when I'm in the mood for some doom and gloom and tongue-in-cheek humour, no-one does/did it better than the Brooklyn boys. Now for this release, the remastering sounds very impressive, while still maintaining a dynamic sound. Full bass, punchy drums and a lot of breathing room, also thanks to a very clean pressing. The vinyl itself being green with black swirls goes perfectly with the artwork, which, despite not being very high-res, looks as good as I'd like it to, maybe I even prefer this over a totally clean looking cover. The third record comes with a bunch of bonus tracks, some from the alternate cd release, some different versions of album tracks, all TON gold, but alas nothing new.All in all, this is green gold.YOU SUCK!
Beazekelv
Awesome, glad you got a copy, too. As long as the money doesn't go to one of those scalpers, it's all good,
SARAND
Huge thnx!! Picked it up today from Port of Sound for $54 total after 10% new cust discount and free domestic shipping.

Run Out Groove knocked it out of the park on this one. Sound quality is excellent, bass is powerful, surface noise it's low. I can't say enough good things about this mastering. The detail freak in me loves that the horrible misspelled word "Lewed" in the album art that's been annoying me since the mid 1990s has finally been corrected. I wish they could have better Incorporated some artwork elements like the gas mask photo or the hilarious kosher certification mark on the back, but these are minor quibbles. If you want a copy of this to actually spin on your turntable, this is the one. The bonus disc is also high quality, with cool rarities and sounds as good as the rest, but that's just a bonus. The fact that it's in gorgeous and appropriate green vinyl is just icing on the cake.

A quick rundown on this pressing, from my first listenPros-each side has more than enough breathing room per song. The instruments are clearly defined and not up each others ass-the bonus disc has some interesting cuts on it-lined inner sleeves feel quality, way better than regular paper sleeves -drums sound especially fresh, despite how god damn reverb soaked they are Cons-tri folds are a pain in the ass-the extra clarity comes at the cost of a vaguely distorted high end, not exactly sibilance but noticeably shrill especially on the vocals -the art could be more hi res, especially the text. The slow deep and hard reissue has much sharper text on the front -doesn’t include the hazmat suits picture (I liked that picture)Overall I say the pros vastly outweigh the cons, I’ll take clean audio over a nice picture any day of the week. Good job ROG

I agree. The old Cargo Records issue had a much better looking sleeve. The audio on this one blows it out of the water though.
inform
Holy smokes this is a demo disc! Runout Groove has been releasing really great music and the products I’ve purchased have been outstanding (Secret Machines, Morphine, Echo & The Bunnymen).
Funny duck
I see the highest one going for $200... do these sellers really think they'll sale their copies at such ridiculous prices? Wow
asAS
It didn't take long for the scalpers to appear on the scene.
Dondallon
and 5000 copies is a lot for a limited edition...
Opimath
Limited editions will go high. That's the nature of it and daily business on discogs.it's an extra ordinary pressing though. Nevertheless, you've to be quick when it comes to limited editions.I preordered it in the UK for 60£. That's very OK considering the quality.
Iseared
Yes, their audacity is ridiculous. But its equally stupid, that potential buyers are even willing to pay such outrageous prices...
Kekinos
They sold on ebay as preorders for 160 dollars when the black friday list came out. So yeah there are people maybe overseas who are willing to pay that amount.
Maldarbaq
Probably one of the greatest psychedelic rock albums of all time, overshadowed by people bickering about flippers and shills in the review section. The ROGV pressing is fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with the sound quality or presentation. A+ all around. I listen to a lot of different stuff, some of which is quite obscure or avant garde, but Type O is my favorite band. World Coming Down is my favorite TON album, but their greatness is apparent here and I couldn't imagine this sounding better.
Mr.Bean
Bloody Kisses, psychedelic rock? Not wanting to be that guy, but this is not psychedelic at all. You may need listening to King Wizzard And The Lizard Wizard, for example...
Tolrajas
They really did an amazing job on this one. Unbelievable pressing.
Zaryagan
Bloody Kisses is a masterpiece of an album. I bought it the day it came out when I was in the 8th grade, one of the few albums that I can listen to 25 years later and still get a punch in the gut every time I hear it.
MilsoN
Ive owned the original CD, the Cargo Records vinyl reissue, and now this. The cargo records reissue is garbage. The deadwax on all four sides are really long. The sound is really compressed. This release howver has thin deadwax allowing maximum vinyl width. The remaster is very isolated on certain sections and gives breathing room to every sound. Trust me all jumbled and over powered instruments you will not get.Now as far as what source the master is. Id take a stab and say a digital scan of the orignal tapes at 192 khz 48 bit.
Bajinn
I remember The SPARS Code on this original release as being "DDD"; so the original tapes (maybe DAT?) were digital as well.
Anarawield
Yea a joke already trying to get twice as much as retail, especially with another release that is way cheaper. Started out with 4 earlier already up 10, so rare lol. 5000 were pressed I am sure I will find one at reasonable prices.
Hurus
My record store still has 2 left. They will go down with 5000 pressed
Anayajurus
User Prettybrokenspirals is a spam reviewer and should not be taken as a source of information. He makes unbased claims, boasting unbidden about how much better the US release is, but cannot prove he owns either pressing. Ignore him and think for yourself. Both runs were done at the same pressing plant, likely using the same plates. Have a nice day
invincible
Oh man, I remember that guy. I had no idea they were the same person but it makes sense. He was on here at the crack of dawn, pretending he already owns both the US and European versions (on release day, mind you. Nobody in the US has the MOV version presently, they barely made it on time to European shops), already opened both and listened to them all the way through, and then came on here to post about his 'research'? I was rolling my eyes hard when I saw him making all these posts about different masters, different art sources, etc. Obvious troll. He clearly has no interest in posting honest assessments and instead is out to derail people into paying obscene amounts for the version he likely has copies of to flip on yet another one of his accounts.
Samugor
He used to go by usernames Trumpduck and Jstrout....before he was banned. I really feel sorry for him as his behaviour mirrors that of someone who is obviously having something of a personal crisis.
Unde
I checked his profile, pretty much all activity bashing MOV releases... makes no sense
Fast Lovebird
I am being told there is a repress of this coming for a regular (Non-RSD) release. Can anyone confirm that?
Vudomuro
rharris07 I am being told there is a repress of this coming for a regular (Non-RSD) release. Can anyone confirm that? No, this is an "RSD Exclusive" not an "RSD First" release so that implies there won't be a non-RSD version
Ber
https://upcomingvinyl.com/record/type-o-negative-bloody-kisses. December 7th MOV 'limited edition silver.' I guess its a different shade of silver. Lol. The markets going to be so overran with bloody kisses
