This is one of those things that on the surface appears to be a cheap cash-in (which, I guess it is) but winds up being a goldmine for collectors. At the time, it was the only place to find any of these cuts on album, and to this day that holds true for A5, B1, B3 and B5.Everything here is in fake stereo, even the previously unreleased track. I don't know if it was mixed to mono and nixed or if first mixed for this release. All cuts except B4 were issued on singles. "Half A Man" was apparently slated as a follow-up to "Flowers On The Wall", and I believe I've read that it was released and then cancelled. I find no evidence that it was released prior to this LP. (Curiously enough, the liner notes of Flowers On The Wall: The Essential Statler Brothers 1964-1969 list the song as previously unreleased, despite it being on this album...)Regarding A3, Don Reid has stated in at least two instances that "Green Grass" was issued as a single, and that Columbia withdrew the single at the publisher's request as a favor to Liberty Records who were releasing Gary Lewis' version of the same song. Going by the liner notes of Flowers On The Wall: The Essential Statler Brothers 1964-1969, the single in question was issued as Columbia 4-43624, and I have found one mention online that would seem to confirm that. The single was reissued with "The Right One" in place of "Green Grass".
