Very Old Chap
Who says we're looking for more? I think we really do just want the same thing, not exactly repeated but definitely synonymous in nature. These tunes are highly addictive spurts of amazing guitar-driven music. Familiar but still brand new to the ears. These songs feel epic yet end all too quickly. I would love to hear this band blast these sonic sonnets from a mountain top. Lovely and earthy, always moving and building to great point. The intros are chilled and grow before breaking out into real jams. The brilliant percussion and undulating bass compliment the guitar's everchanging voice. Very well composed. Unlike most of NORTH's epic guitar wielding peers, these songs feel more thought out, sounding less like a jam session, resulting in a tight composition worth hearing again just for the sake of being so darn good. There's nothing hidden, there are no nuances to be rediscovered, it's not necessary. This music is perfection in its simplest form. The album creates an excellent current to fuel the night (or morning).I believe hearing it on vinyl makes the experience all the more enjoyable but really I was first introduced to it on mp3 and instantly fell in love. Highly, I will emphasize highly, recommended.
