Born in Montreal of English & French-Canadian background, singers/songwriters Kate and Anna McGarrigle have performed to critical and popular acclaim around the world for three decades, their albums have earned several record of the year awards, and their songs have been widely recorded by other artists, including Linda Ronstadt, Judy Collins, Emmylou Harris, and Nana Mouskouri. Debut album recorded in New York and produced by the legendary Joe Boyd (Pink Floyd, Soft Machine, Nick Drake, Incredible String Band, Fairport Convention, etc.) with a superb supporting cast that includes, among others, Lowell George, Tony Levin, Steve Gadd, and Bobby Keys.
