This song has been legitimately released by Numero Group on their summer anthology Seafaring Strangers Private Yacht. We hope that they will be releasing more of Jim's work in the near future.

I first encountered the A-side as a 7-inch single, perhaps promotional, in edited form. Whoops, I see that it's already listed in the videos to the right of this box. Anyway, Spencer was from Milwaukee, WI, died in 1983 at age 39, published a few underground newspapers in the early '70s and was a member of eclectic folk band Major Arcana before getting into boogie r&b as he does on this song and disco on "The Blues Are Out To Get Me." When I met him in 1981 he was op[erating a used books&antiques shop.
