Notes

This is a special “versions & variations” edition of the fourth Mark Tranmer album, Further Woodland, originally released in 2015 | Written and Recorded 2013-2015. Instruments include: pianos, e-bow guitars, bass synthesiser. Some tracks also feature treated samples recorded in the North of England, The Scottish Highlands, and the Swiss Canton of Ticino.

This “versions & variations” double clear 10” + CD + download edition is limited to 25 (numbered). Each record was individually lathe cut, resulting in variation in sound from record to record. And also considerable variation in sound from the record compared with the CD | digital versions.

Also included here is the original CD of the album in a digipack, and a download of the super-deluxe edition of the album, with different versions of the album tracks. For example, alongside the album version, there are two additional versions of “False Promises” included; different takes and melodies. Super-deluxe download formats include FLAC, Apple lossless, and MP3 320. The versions & variations release is in three parts as follows:

I | Double clear vinyl lathe cut 10” version of the 10-track album with rubber stamped labels, with hand-written & rubber stamped track-list insert - each insert is on different colour card stock (from an original set of 75 colours). The two records of the double 10" are each housed in a paper sleeve, and then collectively housed in a clear plastic wallet, with card stock insert.

II | CD version of the 10-track album in card digi-pack designed by Timothy O’Donnell.

III | Download of the super-deluxe version of Further Woodland, which includes the 10-track album and 7 bonus tracks, with digital version artwork by Timothy O’Donnell.
