Prime example of an artist being stripped of his creativity. Absolutely essential piece in my collection.

I remember the controversy behind this cover when the album came out. There was a bit of a backlash and the label basically made him change it to the cover that everyone knows now. If anyone out there has this version, hold on to it !

Braned

The cover contains the notorious and very disturbing photo of a black man named Will Brown gettin' burned, after being lynched, with a white mob being witness, during the red summer in 1919, in which a number of racial riots broke out in an enormous account of cities all over USA.

I always had a question about this this cover... What exactly was on the cover photo and why is it banned from publishing? I don't know how silly I look when asking this but I'm pretty curious about the story behind it.
