Luke Chable has taken over the planet with his moody breakbeats, beautiful synths, and creative programming. He´s bold and always trying out new production techniques. His music finds its way into the record boxes of the biggest DJs and he has recently been offered the chance to create an upcoming compilation for Release Records. His next single ´Melburn´ shakes up a sampled guitar and smooth breaks, while ´Into The Storm´ twists into a gorgeous dreamy escape of watery sounds and mellow beats.´Melburn´ is built around a slightly grunge influenced guitar riff that shakes and moves. The breaks roll in building on top of the guitar perfectly. Synths start in while the guitar grows louder. The drums continue to build and the hypnotic sounds take you in. A smooth bassline lies underneath. This is a very uplifting tune, but definitely something to rock floors.´Into The Storm´ is a beautiful layered tune with sparkling melodies and smooth breaks. Filtered drums start in with a slight hint of melody that hides in the background. Ocean waves roll into the dreams and bring in new layers of pad sounds while random notes are played. The break brings in a new arpeggiated rhythm that works in and floats with the tune till the end. This is a beautiful song. Don´t miss it.With his compilation under way for Release Records, Luke Chable is one to watch. He has tapped into his own sound and we all love him for it. Grab this as soon as you can. Not sure if anyone has noticed this, but take a listen to Linkin Park's Meteora album - on one of the tracks i swear the guitar riff from "melburn" is sampled and played backwards!! Aynone else notice this? Anyway - Truly awesome release, fantastic progressive breakbeats backed with a stunning ambient flip which i loved using as an intro as it still has a mild percussion element allowing mix ins. A big improvement on the earlier bedrock breaks releases that lacked proper dancefloor value. Proper gear, nuff said.

The song you're talking about -Somewhere I Belong- was released in 2003, so Chable sampled Linkin Park, not the other way around

Well its official, Luke Chable is huge... he's got a Bedrock release. "Melburn" has heavily sequenced drum patterns and a diffent Chable vibe than we're used to. Don't know if I'd call this one of my favorite Chable productions but it sure as hell isn't horrible. Flip for the cop-out, "Into The Storm" which is just a beatless version of the all ready released "After The Storm" [ZOT12016]. Not to say it isnt good, but in a world where its easier to download an mp3 then spend the $9 bucks on the vinyl, labels should definately try to "wow" us instead. (Don't worry Diggers, I bought this one.)

Melburn could be used as a defination to progressive breaks. From its spacey synth intro and the slow introduction of breakbeats, to its bass and filtered guitar samples make Melburn a very distinctive and recognizable track.
