Faction only ever released a single album, THE END OF TEL AVIV, but it's able to stand up rather well. The icy electronics and low-level rhythms come forth on "Inside Out," while "Outland" places more emphasis on its moody melody and bassline, and "Maybe Tomorrow" doesn't veer too far from this path. Indeed, as pleasant as this album is, it may be a little too faceless for an individual aesthetic to shine through. Still, the gentleness of "Cutters Way" or the awkward harmonics of "Broken Space." The final, title track takes the album out as softly as it began. A lovely ending indeed.

Overall an enjoyable listen, will suit those who enjoy Dub Tractor, Opiate and that typical Dannish style of IDM/glitch. Good solid production my only criticism would be that it does sound like so many other releases and I'd have a hard time in a blind playlist being able to say this is Faction. Maybe that is no longer important: being a fan of a "group", it's the music and what it does for you rather than the idol behind it?
