Recorded on April 4, 1977, in Pathway Studios, Islington, North London. This was the debut release by this long-lived garage/trash band. It reached number 4 in the UK New Wave Charts.
Picture sleeve came in two different backgrounds: white and brown. The label credits this record to "Mike Spenser & The Cannibals" but the sleeve to just "The Cannibals".
This was a self-released records with most future releases being released under "Hit Records" but they continued to use the "F-UK" catalogue number prefix.
The track "Good Guys" was originally recorded in the mid-60's by The Standells.
