Many years ago I heard a whole bunch of albums on the Sweet Folk and Country label and of those I heard (a selection of the first 125 releases) this was the standout album. The songwriting and playing is excellent throughout and the reading of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" would be all the more wonderful if side one of the album hadn't been pressed way off-centre.The album has been issued on a limited edition CD-R but as the master tapes weren't available the audio was generated from a copy of the LP (the producer of the CD-R denied this vehemently when I contacted him; but my ears tell me that this is so).There are no poor songs here, and if my arm was twisted I'd say my favourite track is "Puss in Boots" with "First Time Ever" a close second.
